The graph below from the Fraser Valley Real Estate Board tracks housing prices from 1979 to the present date. Although the changes aren't always increasing, steadily over time they prove that purchasing Real Estate is solid investment. This may not be the best market to be flipping homes but it definitely is the right time for investors to purchase rental properties. And if you're thinking of moving, the property you sell could be down slightly in value but there are some screaming good deals out there! Even if you waited and prices go down a few % next year, if the interest rate increases even 1% then there would no savings to you, the buyer. There's no better time than the present!
